The Unending Reign Metal Fire with Their New Single, 'Sea of Ashes'

Kelowna metal giants The Unending have finally released their long awaited single, Sea of Ashes, which is the first of multiple singles that will come together into the band's latest creative output in the form of a full-length studio album that will contain all of the heaviness and polish any metal fans are sure to love.

Formed in the heart of British Columbia, The Unending has been making waves in the music scene with their powerful and unrelenting sound. With a unique blend of heavy riffs and intense vocals, the band captures the essence of raw energy and emotion in their music.

SCORE: 100/100

The track starts off atmospheric and potent, with a dramatic and intense intro quickly soaring off into heavy metal madness with clean riffs, exceptional sonic prowess, and a sound palate that makes The Unending one of the best modern metal bands by a long shot.

There's something deeply unique about Sea of Ashes that is rare to come by on a metal track. It's immediately something that will hook you in and leave you invested - and it's without a doubt the best possible introduction to the band that I could have gotten. Rarely do I feel as if a band is worth your while on just a single alone; but The Unending are a band that every metalhead HAS TO listen to at least once, and you're sure to want to come back for more.

Each member of the band showcases their skills with loud, fast-paced instrumentals, incredible band work, and a final mix that reigns in every element without anything overpowering another piece of the track. It's a track that is completely well rounded and polished to perfection, and it showcases that music can be loud and heavy while still being worked at and polished until everything sounds just right.

This is a track for all of the audiophiles out there. The crisp, infectious sound of the track is something that is immediately evident, and the sound gets even better the more you listen to. Each element is something new to digest while keeping everything raw enough to bite and smooth enough to glisten, and it's the perfect mix of underground and large-scale metal that falls into the best possible state of in-between,

It's clear to see that The Unending are one of the next big names in the Canadian metal scene - and there are very few bands that are giving as much charm into their craft as The Unending. The band's sound is refreshed and sharp as a blade, and the overall turnout of the single release makes for something that will leave any listener coming back again and again on the days where they need something a bit heavier.

Rarely can a standard-length song pack such a massive punch, but Sea of Ashes dives deeper into its runtime and makes sure to add breakdowns, catchy riffs, and deep precision in just under four-and-a-half minutes. The result is a song that will leave you in its fiery grasp and chain you down, and this is a release that no metalhead will want to miss out on.

It's a fast-paced track that is sure to smash skulls and take names with it - and it's something that feels meant for the stage where people can mosh and let all of their anger out to such a deeply layered track that never loses its grip.
