HOLD THE MUSTARD PRODUCTIONS: All About Chilliwack Metal Icons Omniesia Before the Show

One of the most iconic Chilliwack metal bands are taking the stage at the Chill House this Saturday, with their set being the pre-headlining bumper before TERRIFIER reign down even more metal madness at the venue.

This show is sure to be one of the biggest ragers that the Chill House has seen in a while, and Hold the Mustard know how to book one hell of a show with lineups that last.

Omniesia blend technical sounds with immense style and precision, with their sound crossing the boundaries of metal and forming into something completely unique and original to the band - they're one of the heaviest acts in the scene, and they're a name that anyone would recognize.

For those who don't know all of the inside scoop about the band, make sure to read the EXCLUSIVE interview with the band below the cut - you won't want to miss out on getting to know them further, as they have so much to share already!
------------------------------------------

Q: First off, introduce yourself for those who do not know you! What is your role in Omniesia like?

A: We are a death metal band hailing from Chilliwack, BC. Omniesia has always been a project of passion for its members, an outlet for us to pool together our creative ideas and formulate a collective vision.

Q: How did Omniesia come to be? What are the origins of the band?

A: Our front man and lead guitarist Tyson met our rhythm guitarist Charles in high school. After graduation, Tyson worked for Long & McQuade where he met original bassist Eric Hartwig and original drummer Zack Young. Together, they wrote the band's debut album "Self Possessed". In January of 2025, Eric and Zack were replaced by current bassist Owen Lanteigne and drummer Andrew Hadden. With the new lineup, we are now gearing up to release our upcoming single "Pervasive Knowledge", with more to come soon after . . .

Q: Is there anything that you personally believe sets Omniesia apart from other bands? If so, what is it?

A: Our dedication to authenticity and our strong grassroots community.

Q: What is your sound like? Genre mixes, unique elements? Tell us about what people can expect from Omniesia if they're first-time listeners.

A: We like to meld the crushing groove of bands like Gojira and Pantera with the tasteful melodies of bands like Death and Mastodon.

Q: What can people expect from your show at the Chill House on the 23rd?

A: We will be debuting our single "Pervasive Knowledge", as well as a sneak peak at another unreleased song. Omniesia fans know to expect an energetic live performance and ringing ears.

Q: What do you bring to the stage when performing?

A: Beer.

Q: If you could only use one word to describe your sound, what might that sound be?

A: Authentic.

Q: What influences do you have that shine through in your music? Are there any other bands that you take influence from?

A: Our sound mainly derives from the late 90's and early 2000's death metal scene, the aforementioned bands are our biggest shared influences.

Q: How long have you been making music for?

A: As a group, Omniesia has been making music for four years.

Q: How did you get into the art of creating and performing music?

A: We all had an early introduction into metal and shared a unique drive to create.

Q: What can fans expect from Omniesia in the near future? Upcoming music, more shows?

A: We are working on releasing our second album after our new singles release. We are excited to play our new material at our upcoming shows.

Q: Where do you see the band going in the future? Bigger tours, more albums?

A: Omniesia intends on continuing their journey of creation and seeks to hone their musical skill and expand the horizon of their songwriting.

Q: What's one good reason people should come to see Omniesia perform?

A: We put effort into making each set better than the last and always take the time to connect with any would be or existing fans.

Q: Is there anything new you will bring to the stage on the 23rd (without spoiling too much)?

A: Loads of new music and updated stage props.

Q: Lastly, what is one piece of advice you would give to any aspiring artists out there?

A: Always support the acts on you are on the bill with, meaning giving them a thanks during your own set or hype up the audience while they are performing (ie. start the pit, usher the crowd to the front of the stage, etc.)
