Fairy Goblinz are without a doubt turning into a household name within the Chilliwack music scene, and their semi-frequent appearances on the Chill House stage have turned them into familiar faces since the band has kicked off.

Q: Firstly, what is your role in Fairy Goblinz like? Tell us a bit about yourself so that people can get to know you better.
A: My Role in Fairy Goblinz is the drums, I've been playing drums for a good year and a bit, I've taught myself mostly everything I know. I was in lessons for 4 months as well and I've been in the band for about 8 months!
Q: How did Fairy Goblinz come to be? When did the band start up?
A: The lead singer of this band created it about a year ago I got lucky to be able to play in the band as a drummer.
Q: How long have you personally been making music for?
A: I've been playing music for about 4 years
Q: Who / what inspires you musically and personally?
A: Something that inspires me is to keep playing everyday and seeing the progress I have made over the years and that people can recognize our band and they enjoy our shows.
Q: What do you look to bring to the stage while performing?
A: I wanna bring as much energy as I possibly can and make the crowd happy and just have fun
Q: What are some of the most important aspects of your music?
A: The community and how it can be an outlet for me and many others and how it can just be a nice comfortable place for most people
Q: If you could describe your sound in one word, what might that word be?
A: Mysterious
Q: What are some things you hope to do as a part of Fairy Goblinz in the near future?
A: I would hope to have a better social media and just try and be successful and collab with more local bands.
Q: What is your favorite part about being a musician?
A: My favorite part is being able to go above and beyond my skill level and showing people how far I have came
Q: Are there any things you wish you had known BEFORE starting to create music of your own? If so, what are they?
A: Definitely probably like the skill level to songs and how everything that come together and just the process and time it takes to make something sound good.
Q: Do you see yourself changing directions, or is the sound of Fairy Goblinz locked in already?
A: I think we will definitely probably change our sound we have already experienced with our sounds
Q: What sounds are definitive for Fairy Goblinz?
A: Midwest Emo and Screamo
Q: What can people expect from your performance at the Chill House on May 2nd?
A: Some new songs and hopefully lots of energy
Q: Lastly, what is one piece of advice you would give to any aspiring artists out there?
A: Never give up on your dreams even if it feels like you can't continue anymore just keep going and take everything day by day.
