HOLD THE MUSTARD PRESENTS: Alternative Rock at the Chill House with MONIKER, Jagerwatt, Circle of Titans, and Lopsided
The Chill House was taken over by an alternative rock lineup of unique and varied bands that were bringing something unique to the venue for the night thanks to Hold the Mustard Productions; and this was one of the most well-organized and surprising shows that we have had in a while.
It was a cold Saturday best spent inside of the Chill House, making it a great night for an alternative rock show after the metal and punk madness of Friday’s show. Something slightly more relaxed than the previous night's show allowed for a different crowd to enjoy the Chill House for the night, and it was an incredible turnout that truly showcased the incredible promotion efforts of Hold the Mustard - something that the company focuses heavily on for each and every show.
The atmosphere of the show was highly social and focused on unique music, bringing various kinds of people and audiences together for a great Saturday night of music at the venue.
Various influences, styles, and genres came together to create one deeply immersive and enjoyable show for some Saturday entertainment in Chilliwack, and this was yet another Chill House show of 2026 that did not disappoint one bit. The atmosphere of the show was changed and grown by each band, leading to an incredible headlining set and a deeply atmospheric and progressive-influenced night.
The show helped to close off a two-night weekend of shows at the venue, and it was a surprising turnout that drew in a well-sized crowd to the venue that stayed through the night.

The first band of the night were young local talents Lopsided, an alternative rock band based and located in Chilliwack that are currently starting out and up-and-coming. Their sound is a mix of various influences from No Doubt and the Pixies to System of a Down, which come together into a unique blend of sounds led by a female vocalist.
The band's influences are made clear within their sound and performances, which utilize their sound in a way that makes them easy to listen to and enjoyable to watch live. Their influences help to drive their sound to where it is now, and the band has the clear ability to bring the pen to paper and create songs that do not feel gimmicky, tacky, or "too" similar to the bands that they take reference from.
There was a very energetic sound present in their performance that was most similar to No Doubt when it came to some of their originals, with covers by bands like Blur, Pixies, and System of a Down making it into their setlist. Their originals were without a doubt better than their covers, with Where's My Mind? being the best out of the lot of covers that Lopsided had to offer during their performance.
The band has a great sound and style pulled together already, and they're off to a highly promising start. Having a local band open up the night meant that there was a large crowd of fans from the area that had come just to see Lopsided finally perform at the iconic Chilliwack venue, and it was great to see a fresh local group of talents on the bill for the night.Lopsided are a band that have already gained a steady fanbase, with friends, fans, and family all gathering to watch the band play the Chill House. The performance was a great display of an amateur band going bigger and better places with their music, and it's clear to see that they are still practicing while making good progress in their efforts.

To keep things unique and varied for the night, Circle Of Titans were the second band on the roster for the night, with their style being one of the most unique visual performances that has been performed at the Chill House in recent times. Their aesthetic blends wizards, lights, smoke machines, and the mountains with something progressive and full of riffs, and they're a band that are well worth all of the good words about them.
The band's unique aesthetic was brought to life with an electric stage presence and unique outfits - making them one of the most interesting groups of characters to hit the Chill House stage in quite some time. It isn't often you get to see the singer of an alternative rock band dressed up like a full-blown wizard. They made sure that this wasn't just your average show, and every band member had their own unique quirk and gimmick that brought the group together in a way that no other band has done before.
A foggy stage atmosphere was perfect for such a chilly day in the Fraser Valley, and the band made sure to be well-suited for the night with their sound, style, and unique image that made them one of the biggest standouts of the night. When a band is able to brand themselves in such a unique way, it elevates their performances by tenfold; meaning that Circle Of Titans hit every mark when it comes to both playing their instruments and performing. The band hailed down from Vancouver to perform in Chilliwack for the very first time in their careers, and their performance did not disappoint even one bit when it came to sonic and visual elements. They were even more unique than anyone could have ever expected, and the unique personas of each member make them a must-see.
Circle Of Titans have a unique sound that is smoggy, progressive and alternative that the band describes as being "from the mountaintops", and the singers unique, low vocal register brings another element of wizardry to their style. The band made sure to give their all in a very entertaining performance that allowed people to come onto the stage during the ending portions of the set, and seeing them was without a doubt one of the most memorable aspects of the entire night.
The band's sound is full of depth, creating a groovy and riffy catalogue of both standard length and long songs that are catchy and deeply enjoyable - especially to see in a live format like what was presented at the Chill House on Saturday.
Circle Of Titans are a band full of people that were meant to perform together, and it truly shows in their performances and combined styles. Each member sticks out as someone unique while still making a comprehensive overall lineup - and the resulting set at the Chill House was something otherworldly.

Jagerwatt kept the crowd engaged for the night with their unique mixed-genre sound, which helped to draw people in to their performance and sound. The band were yet another unfamiliar group of faces for the Chill House, and fans are sure to want them back after the set that they put on at the venue on Saturday.
Their sound is highly similar to what is often described as Stoner Rock / Stoner Metal, and they made sure to put on a loud performance with exceptionally strong vocals and kind band members through and through. Their honest and down to earth approach is something that makes the band even more respectable than they already are through their sound, and their performance was one of the loudest highlights of the entire night with an engaged crowd and a unique sound that transcended boundaries on genres.
A unique, bassy sound palate brought something heavier into the night, which helped to bring the energy up prior to the headlining set while still showcasing the band's talents to the absolute maximum degree. It was clear to see how focused and sharp the band members are, and their sound is structured on how deeply they pay attention to each element that goes into their productions. It was incredible to see a band that seemed so truly focused and locked in to their craft, and it was clear to see how well the band works together. They swap flashy theatrics for something raw and real in their sound - making them a band that stands out from any other projects in the scene with their blend of genres and unique approach to performing live.
Their set included a sound that combined elements of Hard Rock and Blues that were brought together with other genre shifts to make for an immersive and enjoyable set that had people moshing, dancing, and watching the band for their entire performance.

Moniker headlined the night with the final set of alternative music for the night - and they had what was without a doubt the most atmospheric and technical set of the night. With a unique sound setup and various different influences coming together in one band, it was stunning to see a band with so much musical knowledge and passion for their craft on stage and in their elements throughout their entire performance.
Moniker are a deeply unique band that combines a great blend of people into one group, and their truly extensive knowledge on music shows in their performances. Their set was marked by the fact that you could see how well the band works together as a team, and their mix of genres brought something different to the table while being consistent; yet varied.
Each song brought a new mix of genres to the table, and throughout their entire set there was something new and incredible to be heard. Their performance was truly exceptional in every way, and it's clear to see that the members of Moniker are incredible performers through and through.
Their stage formation was utilized in a way that made every single member of the band stand out in their own way, allowing for the band to feel fluid rather than led by one crucial leader in the lineup. Every member of the band was able to shine for the entire performance, and their mix of material even included the debut of a brand new song.
The band used lighting and audio effects to create an atmosphere that created a great spectacle that had to be seen to be believed, and the vocalists incredible range helped to drive the band to even more success in their sound, style, and performance efforts.
Every song in Moniker's set was something unique and wonderful to listen to, and watching their performance unfold was something that was entirely different from other bands.
