HOLD THE MUSTARD PRODUCTIONS: Learn All About Muscle Crowe Before You Go

The first night of the HONOR BY ASSOCIATION TOUR is tonight with a major kickoff in Kelowna, which means that Muscle Crowe will be making their way to a Canadian city near you. Hold the Mustard Productions is proud to present the bands first ever tour alongside Tortion - and each show is set to be heavy, loud, and full of infectious music that is sure to form mosh pits.

Muscle Crowe blend old school influences with modern metalcore, mixing screams and complex instrumentation to create a sound that is truly heavy and powerful in every aspect. The members of the band each provide something different to the band’s spectacle of sound, and the result is one heavy band that can’t be topped. Their sound takes heavy influences from classic 2000's metalcore, which is fine-tuned into riffy, infectious modern music that passes the torch of the genre on to new heroes.

The band has a deeply heavy sound with incredible vocals and instrumentals that are mind-blowingly complex and full of intensity. The band has their sound locked down incredibly well, and this level of prowess is something that you don't come across often - meaning that catching them on any of their tour stops is an absolute must.

They're on a steady climb to greatness, and their growth is something every band should strive to follow. They make a great influence on the local Canadian scene, and their impact will strike like lightning throughout the HONOR BY ASSOCIATION TOUR.

Muscle Crowe will hit Chilliwack this Saturday, taking the Chill House stage by storm with their fast-paced and heavy songs that will have the pits flourishing throughout the night. Their set is sure to be mighty, and in anticipation for the show, I had the honour of capturing a pre-show interview with Alex, the guitarist. You can find exclusive, in-depth information about the band below the cut.

------------------------------------------

Q: What is your role in the band like? Tell us about yourself and your bandmates!

A: Howdy! My name is Alex and I play guitar and handle production and recording in Muscle Crowe. I am joined by Dave Smith on Drums, Norm Mathers on Bass and Thor Eide on Vocals. Our band started as a really fun Russel Crowe movie tribute band and is slowly evolving into something more.

Q:What can fans and newcomers expect from your tour with Tortion?

A: Fans and newcomers can expect a whole lot of riffs! Torsion and Muscle Crowe love shredding heavy riffs and throwing down. We like it fast!

Q: What does Muscle Crowe bring to the stage? What are some of the most important aspects when it comes to performing for you guys?

A: We bring a high energy to the stage with technical mastery and we love to see the crowd mosh! If people are moshing then we know we’re doing our job right. Our vocalist will often hop into the pit to force you into crackin’ skulls.

Q: What are your inspirations musically? Where does your sound come from?

A: We are inspired by mid to late 2000s Metalcore and Hardcore. Our sound comes from our love of that old school sound from bands like Hatebreed, Lamb of God, Parkway Drive and Killswitch Engage (circa mid 2000’s)

Q: How long have you been making music for?

A: We have been a band since 2024! Though our members have been in bands for many years prior to starting Muscle Crowe.

Q: Do you think you'll be touring more in the near future?

A: We certainly hope so! With a plethora of upcoming shows, we hope to showcase our readiness to rip up the stage all over the country!

Q: A tour is a big milestone, what are your feelings surrounding these upcoming shows?

A: We are excited to bring our sound to many new people and to connect with like-minded musicians and make some new fans. Can’t wait to hang!

Q: What is your favorite memory from a live performance so far?

A: My favorite memory from a live performance so far is performing with a band years ago and having a wall of death during the final breakdown of the last song in the set. Was so crazy to see while performing!

Q: What do you hope to bring forward for this tour?

A:We’re hoping to spread the gospel of heavy music 🤘

Q: Lastly, what is a piece of advice you would give to any aspiring artists out there?

A: Don't do it for the money. There's not much to be made. Do it for the love of playing music and comradery! Use your passions and inspirations to get where you want. If you want something done right, do it yourself!
