HOLD THE MUSTARD PRODUCTIONS: Know Punk Thrashers "nobody." Before the Show

nobody. are set to hit the stage at the Chill House this Saturday to open up an unforgettable night of the HONOR BY ASSOCIATION TOUR. Their music blends hard rock, hardcore punk, and thrash into one stunning, smashing sound that will shake the floors of the Chill House during their set.

Their sound breaks boundaries and uses a crossover style to create endlessly memorable grooves and massively heavy songs that are perfect for any local headbangers or mosh pit fanatics looking for their next Chilliwack thrill. The band will be playing alongside Muscle Crowe, Tortion, and Plague Doctor - and the crowd is sure to be legendary. It's another Hold the Mustard show no metalheads should miss out on, and there's something for fans of all genres of rock to be found at this upcoming show.

The band creates catchy, riffy songs with memorable vocals and instrumental work while being incredibly sharp and focused throughout their music; their sound is innovative and incredibly practiced, and the result is a band that kicks ass and takes names on all fronts.

The members of the band are exceptionally skilled and have been in the music scene for a very long time, and they pride themselves on humour, energy, and thrashing. You won't find an energy quite like this elsewhere, and their set at the Chill House is set to be packed full of energy and fun for both the crowd and the band.

I had the honour of interviewing Figgmond Newton - the band's vocalist, who was kind enough to hand-write answers to questions that are sure to help sell you on the band before you go to the show; you can find the exclusive pieces below the cut, and Hold the Mustard and friends hope to see you there!

---------------------------------------------------

Q: What is your role in the band like?
A: I'm Figg, I'm the vocal expressionist. I tell bad jokes and yell a lot. Q: Give us a quick introduction to the band. What’s your history like?
A: We've known each other going back 10-20 years, we've jammed in other bands before Nobody. Q: What would you describe your sound as?
A: Our sound hmm, unrelenting crossover thrash punk. Q: What makes you different from other performers?
A: Hmm, different from other performers, well I'm 55 and I still jump off of shit and get air and go in the pit, hehe. Q: Out of all of the shows you’ve played, what are the best memories of playing live you have made alongside the band?
A: Good memory for me was at Green Auto, all the people up front were singing along and thrashing about, so fun. Q: What can people expect from your performance at the Chill House?
A: They can expect me to be very active on stage, and great sound from the boys, and general jackassery, haha. Q: What are your influences?
A: Our influences are quite varied as we['re] all different ages, but one thing we all agree on is that alcohol is definitely a big influence. Q: Where do you see yourself musically in the future?
A: In the future I see us dominating the world, a 5 album deal with the money up front, haha Q: Lastly, what is a piece of advice you would give to aspiring artists?
A: Advice, just keep doing it, we start at the beginning, practice and have fun and don't be too serious with yourself.

Figg was the first interviewee that wrote their answers out on paper, and it was a highly unique experience seeing the written answers up close and getting the personality out of the notes - which you can see here:
