An Experimental Whirlwind: Rong, Caveman & the Banshee, Stephen Hamm: Theremin Man, and Duane Regretzsky on the Chill House Stage

Saturday's show at the Chill House was another event to remember, with a variety of four unique artists hitting the stage until just about 11 that night. It was a late, fun show that had the energy high and the vibes ethereal, and everyone knocked their performances out of the park with their exceptional skills and musicianship.

Everyone gave their all at making themselves known throughout the night, and it was a show where the artists stuck in your head and made sure that they wouldn't be just one-time remembrances. If you have a chance to see any of the performers on the bill for this show - don't hesitate and go!

The atmosphere of the night was incredibly fun - and it was honestly one of the most fun shows that I have been to. The socialization of the show was through the roof, and it made my night having every almost every band member and member of the Chill House crew interact with me with such kindness. It was the most I have ever socialized at a show, and such a great crowd of people meant that it was a great show - and one of the most memorable nights that I have had.

The setup for the night was incredibly unique, and it was one of the most stunning shows in terms of visuals at the Chill House.

Community was one of the strong suits of the night, and it was an incredibly psychedelic night that took the audience along on a cosmic journey full of unique artists and a mix of different genres and styles to make for a night that will be impossible to forget.

Duane Regretszky was someone I went into blind - and he's someone you won't want to miss out on seeing. His stompy, comedy-laced acoustic rock is something that will truly have you laughing for his entire performance, and his immediately commanding stage presence made him stand out in a sea of wildly unique talents.

Regretszky has a massively unique performance style alongside a strong voice, and he is a genuinely kind soul that is exceptionally down to earth off the stage. His vocals were incredibly clear and projected sharply throughout the entire venue, and his stomp-fueled performance was something truly unforgettable with how unique it was; especially being able to see it up close.

His performance blended multiple medias and comedic bits, as well as comedy-rock songs that made him an immediate force in the venue. His jokes were all genuinely funny, and I was smiling ear-to-ear and laughing throughout his entire performance. His set was also well timed and made a good usage of a shorter timeframe, which worked exceptionally well for his style.

Every song was sung with his chest, and his strong performances made him stand out - it's clear that he knows what he is doing, and he's hilarious on top of it all. His mix of stand up comedy and unique music was infectious, and he started off a set of incredibly positive vibes for the night.

The songs that he performed were catchy and incredibly funny, and the sound quality during his set was top-notch. Everything sounded incredible, and his mix of crowd work and musical adventures made his set interactive for those who were in attendance of the show.

Stephen Hamm was another electrifying addition to the night, with his sound being something awe-inspiring to see and hear in person. His cosmic performance was one of the most unique I have ever seen; and it meant more than I can describe to me being able to see the Theremin performed live, especially as it is such a rare sight to see.

Hamm is a master of the Theremin. His work with the instrument is truly stunning, and his control of the device is something that few other people possess the power of. You could tell throughout his entire performance that he wholeheartedly enjoys what he does, and seeing him in his element was mesmerizing.

His performance was highly engaging, with his stage presence being something striking and unique while he used dialogue and a steady introduction to make himself known and bring viewers along into a cosmic journey through space and time. His influences from sci-fi and old technology make him one of the best possible live performers, and his act has been perfected.

The performance included space age elements and a great setup, with some of the most exceptional lighting that I have seen at the Chill House. The usage of effects and strobe lights made the aura of the performance feel truly mystic, and Hamm's synth-filled music along with his gorgeous Theremin solos made for a one of a kind experience in every way.

Dialogue was used to introduce Hamm, and it was used throughout the performance to create an experience that felt as if it were straight out of a movie.

In terms of setup, the show was also exceptional. The stage setup was stunning, especially with an up-close view. Stephen Hamm ensured that his name would be known by the end of the set for those who were not already familiar with him, and he did an exceptional job at making sure that the most immersive possible experience was in order.

The atmosphere of the performance was truly incredible and gorgeous. The sound mixing was incredibly efficient and done very well, and no sounds were drowned out in the mix - which made sure that the full experience was able to be heard and enjoyed. It was a sonically and visually stunning set, and good vibes were radiating throughout the entire venue.

Caveman & the Banshee are one of the most unique duos that you can find anywhere - and one of the kindest, too. They truly do not bite, and their performance had the entire audience completely engaged from start to finish. It was a head trip to witness live, and their effect-filled performance made up of hauntingly unique vocals and stunning performance art made them one of the best on the bill.

Never have I ever seen a duo with such an
outrageous stage presence and unique style - but Caveman & the Banshee are that times ten. Their sound and style are both something out of a world that is unfamiliar to ours; and it's a place you'll want to stay.

The energy of the night peaked with their set, and it was one of the most truly fun experiences that I have had at the Chill House. Caveman & the Banshee are unlike anything else you will ever see, and their music is fun to the core with punchy electronic drum production, great team and crowd work, and incredible guitar riffs that blend space age psychedelia with experimental punk.

The duo works together incredibly well, and they feed off of one another's energy to make for an infectious performance. Their performance art alongside various props and unique styles was exceptional, and it was truly something you had to see to believe. Their collaboration with Stephen Hamm was stunning, and Valentina worked very well alongside the Theremin with her high vocal register that was stunning to hear through-and-through.

The crowd loved Caveman & the Banshee, and it's not hard to see why. They were without a doubt where the energy of the night peaked, and they're an act that you truly have to see to get the full effect.

Rong ended the night off with some loud, female-fronted punk - using elements of harsh punk and riot grrrl to create something truly electric. They were without a doubt the loudest band on the bill, and their memorable stage presence made them one of the best on the lineup.

Their sound was outrageously loud, and their strikingly unique and strong vocals made for an incredibly fun and upbeat end to the night. They were a more "usual" sound for the Chill House stage, and they brought back some punk familiarity to the crowd which closed off another unforgettable show.

The crowd loved Rong, and it wasn't hard to understand why. Their sound was completely commanding and rocked the roof off of the place without any sense of exaggeration. They gave their all and were absolutely in their element, and the members of the band are incredibly outgoing and kind off the stage; making them even more of a must-see.

Their set was nonstop and called for an encore, and it was something heavier to end the night off right. Their sound was truly electrifying in every way, and their loud sound could be heard all throughout Chilliwack on that late Saturday night.
