Local Business Spotlight Chilliwack: the thrift.

the thrift is one of the most consciously charitable stores within the entirety of Chilliwack, with the people of the Chilliwack Free Store coming together to make one of the only nonprofit thrift stores in the city, with all profits going towards helping pay for food and other expenses in relation to the Free Store and helping those who need it most.

The people at the thrift are absolutely incredible, and with deals you simply cannot miss out on, the store is constantly stocked full of treasures and helpful items at low, affordable prices that help everyone involved. The store has various sales and promotions almost every single day, and the focus is always on community and helping those who need affordability in times where money is tight and inflation continues to rise.

A small space is utilized to absolute perfection, packing as much stock as possible into the storefront, which is located in downtown Chilliwack. Details are constantly available on the Free Store community's Facebook page. It is run by both the usual staff of the Free Store itself as well as various volunteers - and shifts are available for those who want to stop in to help out around the small shop.

Unlike other thrift stores, the thrift is completely nonprofit and uses a firm pricing sheet that applies to all items, with shirts being as low as 3-4 dollars and jackets being all under ten dollars. There are no increases based on quality or "rare" items, everything is all the same, and it goes to show just how much Chilliwack needed a store like this.

It's clear to see when things are run by kindhearted and genuine people, and the thrift is one of those places where you can tell the intentions are the best they can be - it's all about helping people, and it's a breath of fresh air in a society where capitalism continues to rise.

I have had the pleasure of visiting the thrift twice now, and it has not disappointed at all since I have been there the first time - even purchasing a jacket is under ten dollars, and the items are all of exceptional quality; it's clear that they prioritize helping people by keeping their prices the same across all brands and items, and every item is in great shape. The donations that they get are absolutely incredible, and with such a great team of people running the place, it's clear to see just how important the thrift is to the Chilliwack community, with hundreds of items going out to people who need them every day since it opened in the last portion of January this year.

It is one of the cleanest, most friendly thrift stores I have ever visited, and it's so refreshing to see a thrift store that has items in great condition for affordable prices - it's what a thrift store should be, and the values of the business make it one of the most trustworthy fronts in the entire Fraser Valley.

If you are in the Chilliwack area, please consider donating to this wonderful cause - as your community will thank you greatly for your generosity. It's a great thing to give back, and the thrift is one of the biggest sources of giving that Chilliwack has; no greed, no terms, just genuine care for the community in Chilliwack.
