Upcoming Business Chilliwack: "The Free Store" to Open Thrift Store This January
The Chilliwack Free Store community has banded together to open the thrift. a nonprofit thrift store hitting the city this month, with steady work and donations showing a community bond that will truly never break.
The Free Store is a nonprofit organization that comes together through a Facebook group where people donate items and help those who are in need, with me and my family being huge supporters of the work that the Free Store family does for the city and the people within it.
As inflation rises, so do rates of people who cannot afford basic essentials - the people at the Free Store are conscious about this, and they work to uplift people and even provide unique experiences; which was highlighted this week with their spectacular grad attire event where graduating students could get high-end dresses, shoes, bags, and accessories all without any cost. The goal is community and helping those who need it, and the sheer lack of greed throughout the Free Store's community is something that you do not see often, making them one of the most understated and important aspects of living in Chilliwack.
The thrift store will be completely nonprofit and will focus more on funding the support for the community, and people can expect to shop for items of all kinds in a refreshing new thrift store amongst the many that are nestled throughout Chilliwack - those who enjoy thrift shopping must not miss out on this opportunity, and those who need items at a lower cost can find solace in knowing this new storefront will be in the city soon. The goal for the store is to help support those who need it most, and the Free Store family hopes to be able to aid as many communities as possible while honoring those who have made it possible.

Glad to see you supporting a good cause!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! They have done so much for me through the grad attire event they had set up, and I love being able to give back and be able to do good deeds through donations.
DeleteSo excited to check it out! Such a great cause and amazing people!
ReplyDeleteLikewise! I expect that they will have a great selection of items, and I can see the pricing being very fair and affordable too which is great for me. The people at the Free Store truly are incredible, and the work they do for the community is groundbreaking.
DeleteTesting to see if I am able to comment. Blog is experiencing some technical issues.
ReplyDeleteFixed the problem by changing the comments from embedded to full page view. A bit tedious but makes it easier for me to go in and reply to everyone in the mean time, too! I have had to alter many issues with the site today, but it's to be expected sometimes.
