Four Tet has been notorious for using many different aliases throughout his career - with this one being one of the best; and the most obscure. This alias was actually my very early introduction to Four Tet years ago, and there will always be a special place in my heart for this surreal and liminal EP. 

This EP is truly unlike anything else I have ever heard. It's a blip in time with serene soundscapes and an unidentifiable ambience that is instantaneously captivating in every moment. The sounds of the second track are almost reminiscent of both video game music and windchimes, and this is some of the most progressive electronic/ambient music imaginable. 

The sound is almost as if the audio itself is shimmering, with a light and airy feel that captures a floating feeling; feeling like the brightest of days, but in an unfamiliar sense that you simply cannot grasp - something that you want to capture. It's auditory emotion, almost capturing the bittersweet, heart-tugging feeling of nostalgia through sound alone.

It goes without saying that Four Tet is one of the best electronic musicians of all time, and the artistry that is showcased in just eight minutes (totaling only three tracks) within this EP proves it tenfold. This is a project that you simply cannot pass up on. 

Hebden rivals producers like Aphex Twin with projects like this, and the uniqueness of this project is something entirely unbeatable - it's sharp, blissful, and completely fluid while feeling weightless. This is a project that sounds like the most natural structures and formations of sound, and everything comes together into one experience that should never be missed.
